Shanbrooke Accoyo Taquille
This is Accoyo Genetics at its best. Taquille was specially selected by Ron and Dianne from the famous Don Julio Accoyo Herd in Peru in 2002. She has outstanding fleece qualities with superior staple length and a typical Accoyo heavy cutting fleece all packed onto a well balanced frame, which she imparts onto her progeny. She is one of the most successful breeders at Shanbrooke, continually breeding Champions. She is used extensively in our Embryo transfer programme and had bred 17 progeny with only a few of her special progeny being released from our herd. At the age of 5 she won Champion Mature Female at National and Royal level and at 6 years of age, against all age groups her Fleece won Supreme Champion at the 2004 National Show.
Her progeny are exceptional, the fleeces have high lustre, with low scale height giving the fleeces the handle of silk with excellent length. All this with a fine micron and even individual staples that run uniformly down the neck belly and legs. Her progeny are all similar which shows the true depth of this genetically sound Accoyo breeding.
